FREQUENTLY APPEARING TOPICS AND THEMES

Preparation of this inventory for online use provided an opportunity to identify major topics and themes that appear repeatedly in the collection descriptions. Because of the limited nature of the collection descriptions, the lists of topics and themes that resulted are not exhaustive, but only illustrative of the breadth of information contained in the ITS archive, and may be helpful to some users as they shape their search inquiries.

Concentration Camp Related Topics
  • concentration/work/prison/detention/internment/death camps
  • "Jew-camps" and "Gypsy camps"
  • camp plans (layout, staffing)
  • "Change reports" of various camps: recording changes in condition or status of a camp
  • orders to various camp administrations
